"Our Town"

The Inspiration and imagery for the series "Our Town" is drawn from Carthage, Missouri, where Ellis' home and studio are located.  These paintings of streets past and present reflect the quiet streets where we live, the back alleys where we learned to ride a bike, the sidewalks we skated.  Timeless images for all those who grew up in a small town - or wish they had.
